When I first learned about negative ions, the first thing I hear is that it is abundant in nature, particularly near moving waters like the oceans and waterfalls.
Negative ion clothing in Taiwan has almost 22 years of history and the people of Taiwan are particularly interested in the health benefit of negative ions.
One of the popular spots for vacationers is called the Neidong National Forest Recreational Area in the Wulai township in Taipei. Containing 3 distinctive waterfalls surrounded by forests and streams, it has been tested to have the highest concentration (50,000) of negative ions per cc of all national forests in Taiwan!
People flock to the area for relaxation as well as physical and mental health benefits. It has been said that “a full day spent at the Neidong waterfall will relieve over 120 days of accumulated fatigue”.
The waterfalls at the Neidong National Forest, however, is dwarfed by the AWESOME Niagara Falls that sits at the international border between the US and Canada.
The sheer power of the falling waters create a tremendous amount of negative ions.
Take a look at this video on my recent trip to the Falls. The view is simply breathtaking and the air wonderfully refreshing.
Although I was not able to find a definitive measurement of negative ion counts at Niagara Falls, simply by comparing its sheer size (52 meters or 167 ft) versus the highest waterfall in the Neidong National Forest in Taiwan of 19 meters that generates 50k negative ions per cc, we can imagine that it is easily a few times higher in negative ion count.
As a point of comparison, the dual purpose blanket made from Teviron is able to generate over 100k of negative ions per cc.
Remember, the higher the negative ion per cc exposure, the GREATER and the FASTER effectiveness in improving YOUR health!
I would highly recommend visiting Niagara Falls or any waterfall in your neck of the woods.
Here are some tips if you plan to visit Niagara Falls:
- Getting a hotel room with a view of the Falls is totally worth it. For an additional $30-$40, you get a great view of the Falls any time during your stay.
- The Rainbow Bridge which is the bridge that connects US and Canada over the Niagara River offers great panoramic picture spots on the pedestrian walkway across the bridge.
- Be prepared to get wet if you want to hop on the Maid of the Mist boat tour and Journey Behind the Falls to get up close to the Falls.
- Plan to spend at least half a day by the Falls and get your dose of negative ions. You will feel INVIGORATED after the visit!!
